Romance is one of the best things of youth. Attraction towards opposite sex generally starts from the age of 8 to 10 years and goes on increasing. During the teens the love is more imaginative and at a platonic level while as you move towards twenties it matures fully. Romance is the prime necessity of any young person but many times owing to responsibilities romance gets neglected and the young bud of love is nipped before it starts blossoming. But situations are such that both the things are not possible at the same time.

·         Young men serving in defense services have to stay away from their companion for a long period of time.

·         Marketing people have to be away from their home for days together and cannot enjoy their slice of romance.

·         Personal responsibilities or family responsibilities become main concern sometimes. In such a situation owing to financial problems or some other traditional issues, romance in a relationship gets killed or neglected.

Effects of neglecting romance

Although there is no particular age for romance or being in love, young age has more shades and possibilities of being in romantic relationship. If the romance in a relationship is neglected, there are chances that the love relationship gets broken or reaches a dead end. You can loose your most favorite person, the love of your life.  If your companion is understanding and loves you enough may be he/she will understand your plight and either stay on with you in the crisis or move on without holding any grudges. But most of the times, lack of romance kills a relationship.

This can cause distress, stress and also depression. Many loose hope to live and also commit suicide owing to neglecting or lack of attention. Romance is the nectar of any love relationship and joy of youth. Once heartbroken, the person forever either stray away from true love or is afraid of being in a committed relationship. Most psychological problems amongst youth are due to lack of romance or failure in love relationship. Many have been known to turn to alcohol or drugs to wane away the pain.

So what to do to sustain romance while fulfilling responsibilities?

People in mobile jobs or army personnel cannot stay always with their beloved not even on their special days like birthdays and valentine. It’s quite possible that such situation can cause confusion and upset. But if there is proper communication and interaction and if the other person loves you enough then romance can still sustain in your love life.

The best way to maintain love, trust and romance in your relationship when you physically cannot attend your dear one is to communicate regularly.  Be their at least with words if not through presence. And your romance will blossom even when you are more committed towards your responsibilities and duties.
